ABOUT
Another great coffee from the Vides family. This is the second year we have purchased this lot and the fourth year working with the Vides family. La Guitarra is located in some of the highest altitudes seen in Central America giving intense flavour to the coffees produced here.
Finca La Guitarra is located between two steep mountains in La Libertad Huehuetenango, Guatemala between 1750-2100 MASL. Renardo ‘Nayo’ Ovalle bought the farm in 2017 with the aim to improve specialty single varietals like Caturra, San Ramon and Bourbon.
Nayo, being a third generation farmer, was born into a family of coffee producers’ tradition, and since childhood has lived amongst coffee farms. Now, being an agronomist, he is focused on producing quality coffee in both washed and natural processes.
