ABOUT
Another standout coffee from the incredible Vides family, our Guatemala El Rincón is one for the ages. Located in world-famous coffee growing region of Huehuetenango, Finca El Rincón is situated in the highlands near Mexico’s border.
Back in 1956, Roberto Molina acquired the farm and began to plant Caturra, Bourbon and Catuaí varietals. In 2012, after his death, Roberto’s wife Yolanda Garrido de Molina worked the farm until 2016. From that same year, the nephews of Roberto Molina (Vides Family descendents) began to oversee production of the farm offering washed, natural and honey coffees.
This year, we were lucky enough to get our hands on a natural anaerobic process coffee. This one underwent a 72-hour temperature regulated whole cherry fermentation before drying on raised beds. Then, it was on to the patio for 16 days to finish. What a journey!
