From Finca La Divisa in Circasia, Quindío, Sebastian Gomez crafts a pristine 100% Pink Bourbon. Meticulous picking is followed by 30 hours of underwater fermentation, then depulping, washing, and temperature-controlled drying for clarity and consistency. Grown at 1,700 MASL beneath Guamo, Guayacán, Gualanday, and Nogal shade trees, this lot reflects Sebastián’s specialty focus and his family’s decades of experience. Expect a clean, luminous cup with layered sweetness and elegant structure, an exceptional expression of Pink Bourbon from the hills of Quindío.

Sebastian Gomez is part of a proud coffee family in Circasia, Quindío, where he and his father, John, steward Finca La Divisa, a 13-hectare farm set around 1,700 MASL. Returning to Colombia in 2014, Sebastian leaned into specialty coffee after seeing its momentum abroad, focusing the farm on quality, sustainability, and thoughtful agronomy. Beneath elegant shade trees—Guamo, Guayacán, Gualanday, and Nogal—he now cultivates standout lots of Gesha and Pink Bourbon.

This lot is 100% Pink Bourbon, a variety prized for its clarity and florals. While its exact origin is debated, many trace a mutation to San Adolfo, Huila at high elevation. Harvest follows strict ripeness selection; cherries then undergo 30 hours of underwater fermentation to build sweetness and nuance before being depulped, washed, and dried under temperature-controlled conditions for precision and consistency.

Sebastian is a young farmer. Along with his wife, they work as a team on both coffee duties and administrative matters. Sebastian’s father, John, has been working in coffee for more than 30 years and has been taking care of the coffee farm since he bought it in 1995. Returning to Colombia in 2014, it was here that Sebastian began to grow his involvement. Having witnessed first-hand the growth of the specialty coffee market in other countries, he decided to pursue specialty coffee production on the family farm.

The result is a luminous cup that embodies Sebastián’s intent: clean, expressive, and beautifully layered—proof of what focused farming and disciplined processing can achieve at La Divisa.
