The Corner Seat: Pairing Fresh flavours with old-school hospitality

In the heart of Moonee Ponds Central, sits The Corner Seat, a brand new, family-run coffee shop and eatery. The Corner Seat boasts a delicious and creative menu, with a wide range of delicious lunch options, which is served alongside Rumble Coffee Roaster’s specialty coffee. Upon entering The Corner Seat, you're welcomed inside by a vibrant team with a desire to do hospitality exceptionally well. The light-filled space, on the corner of Everage and Hall Street, is modern and inviting, featuring a colourful mural, and cosy tables from which you can enjoy your coffee and lunch, and watch the world go by.

The window display is lined with homemade Middle-Eastern pastries, including their specialty, Shanklish (a fermented cheese pastry), and the menu offers a broad range of lunch options, such as Lebanese grill plates, wraps, and fresh salads. Vegetarians are not forgotten either, with various meat-free options alongside the Lebanese Barbeque options.

Owner Mo, grew up in the hospitality industry, with his family having run one of the first middle eastern restaurants in Melbourne! That love for warm hospitality and the joy of sharing delicious food with others, has stuck with him throughout his whole life, and was a big part of the pull to start up his very own Moonee Ponds cafe, The Corner Seat, an eatery pairing old-school hospitality with fresh and vibrant flavours.

In choosing a coffee roaster to supply his cafe, Mo was on the hunt for a supplier that is not only passionate about a great coffee product, but he also wanted to partner with another small business that cares about genuine hospitality as much as he does, which is how the Corner Seat came to be using Rumble Coffee.
