La Danta comes from Finca El Rincón in La Libertad, Huehuetenango, where the Vides family has been producing coffee for generations. Named after one of the largest pyramids of the ancient Maya civilisation, this coffee honours both the history and landscape of Guatemala. Grown between 1600–1800 MASL, the farm’s mix of Catuai, Caturra, San Ramon and Bourbon varieties creates a sweet, approachable cup that highlights the balance and consistency for which the Vides family is renowned.
The Vides family’s coffee story began in 1958, when Dr Jorge Vides established the first family farm in Huehuetenango. Today, the family manages multiple farms and oversees every stage of production, from cultivation through to export. Their long-standing commitment to quality, sustainability and community investment has made them one of Guatemala’s most respected coffee producers. La Danta is a reflection of that legacy. This is a clean, balanced washed coffee that showcases the classic sweetness and elegance of the region.
