High in the hills of Shakiso, Sookoo Coffee unites 35 smallholder farmers under the guidance of Ture Waji. Every cherry delivered is fully organic, and unlike Latin America's vast estates, these Ethiopian farmers harvest coffee directly from their own gardens.

Around the Suke washing station, farms average just 2.5 hectares, cultivating coffee within lush, semi-forested systems. This approach produces fewer trees per hectare but yields rich, organic harvests of exceptional quality.

When the cherries arrive at the Suke station, they’re separated by sub-kebele to ensure the highest standards. This lot comes from Shoondhisa, within the Suke Quto kebele, renowned for its distinctive flavours and aromas. The farmers’ meticulous methods and unwavering commitment to organic practices make this coffee a standout for authenticity and sustainability.

The region’s unique growing conditions, paired with the dedication of its farmers, create a cup brimming with character and complexity. Each brew offers a taste of the Ethiopian highlands and the care of passionate, family-oriented smallholder producers.
