Notes Ubaque is 50 km east of Bogotá and home of the indigenous Muisca people.
This is our 4th year buying from this group of farmers. Ubaque is the backbone of our Haymaker blend and we hope to keep using it for many years to come.

In Colombia, there is a daily price that sets against the market price. Most smallholders take their coffee to a collection station to sell their coffee at this rate. The daily rate at the time of purchase was 950,000 pesos per cargo (125kg of parchment coffee) for this lot UBACAFE was paid 1,200,000 pesos per carga. 

In late 2018, we paid a visit to some of the farms and met with co-op members and were very impressed with the teamwork and attention to quality control. We were hoping to visit again this year but have postponed until we can all travel again.
