Hailing from Sitio Canaã, “The Promised Land” in Portuguese, this micro-lot comes from rising star Kleumon Silva Moreira. Mentored by Brazilian coffee icon Antônio Rigno, Kleumon is already producing remarkably elegant coffees from the mineral-rich slopes of Chapada Diamantina.
We paid 42% above the Fair Trade price for this coffee. Learn why here.
Tucked just outside the town of Piatã in Bahia’s famed Chapada Diamantina region, Sitio Canaã sits between 1280 and 1340 MASL. Once known for its diamond mines, this high-altitude plateau is now celebrated globally for its extraordinary specialty coffees—and Kleumon Silva Moreira is fast becoming one of its brightest names.
Though still in his 30s, Kleumon has spent more than a decade immersed in coffee, learning alongside legendary producer Antônio Rigno of São Judas Tadeu. Under Antônio’s mentorship, he’s honed every aspect of production, from planting and harvesting to mastering the subtle art of processing.
This lot, a pulped natural blend of Topázio and Acauã varietals, reflects the harmony between tradition and innovation. It’s a coffee that’s creamy, sweet, and refined with notes of cocoa, honey, and fragrant vanilla. It’s a shining example of the quality emerging from Brazil’s next generation of producers.
Rumble has proudly purchased Kleumon’s coffee since his very first harvest. Year after year, his dedication, humility, and pursuit of excellence continue to impress us.
