TRANSPARENCY INFO

PRICING COMPARISON

At Rumble, we're firm believers in paying fair prices to the producers of our coffees. Staying true to the Pledge we signed in 2019 alongside a growing number of roasters around the globe, our aim is to offer you - our valued customer - honest and transparent pricing information so that you can best understand where your money is going. We believe that sustainable prices equal sustainable businesses, and a sustainable future for all as a result. We invite you to join us on our quest for Transparency in the coffee industry, which you can learn more about here.

PRICING EXPLAINED

*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.

^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.

ABOUT

Roll up, roll up! It’s the first time we’ve found an anaerobic natural from Rwanda, and we’re super excited to share it. As one of Alex’s favourite origins, Rwanda continues to impress with farmers’ ability to pick and process incredible coffee.

Rwanda, of course, has a deeply political history. From this perspective, the horrific Rwandan genocide of 1994 was a life-altering moment for all Rwandans. Coffee continues to be a source of income, stability and longevity for families whose futures have, in other times, been far less than certain. At Rumble, we pay tribute to and acknowledge those families affected and are dedicated to doing all we can to supporting them in the production of their coffee.

In this case, many initiatives have been put in place by the Koakambu Cooperative to support the producers of this coffee. They include, amongst others, the creation of a coffee nursery to increase production, the UTZ-certification of 925 farmers, the launch of women’s groups to subsidise income making handicrafts in the low season, wastewater treatment initiatives, and more.
