Colombia Favor Ninco
Sugarcane, green grape and stonefruits compliment jasmine florals for a delicious and elegant cup.
Favor Ninco’s Pink Bourbon comes from Finca Costa Rica in Santa María, nestled high in the hills of Huila. This washed Colombian gem is floral, elegant and sweet, with notes of jasmine, sugarcane and green grape. A stunning first release.
FAVOR NINCO
Favor Ninco has been around coffee his entire life. He grew up in a traditional coffee farming family in the south of Colombia and always dreamed of owning his own land. Twenty-five years ago, with enough savings behind him, he bought a small property in Santa María, Huila. He named it Finca Costa Rica, and it has been his family’s home and sole livelihood ever since.

FAVOR NINCO |
Favor runs the farm with his wife Andrea, who is responsible for drying the parchment coffee and preparing meals for their workers during the harvest. Together, they form a hardworking, thoughtful team who care deeply about the quality of their coffee and the health of their land. “We want our farm to stay beautiful and sustainable,” Favor says. “Producing specialty coffee has allowed us to earn more and live better.”
This lot is made up entirely of Pink Bourbon, a rare and celebrated varietal known for its delicate florals and sweet, juicy acidity. It was processed using the washed method and carefully dried under Andrea’s watch. On the table, the cup sings with notes of jasmine and sugarcane, balanced by the fresh sweetness of green grape and gentle stonefruit.
This is the first year we’ve sourced from Favor and his family, and we hope it is the beginning of a long relationship. Their story, their care and their commitment shine through in every cup. “You are drinking something produced with the effort of an entire family,” Favor says. “We hope you will continue drinking it for many years to come.”

*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.
^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.
