Peru Ever Castillo Filter

In the municipality of San Jose del Alto in the province of Jaen and north of Peru, we arrive at El Pino, a farm owned by Ever Castillo. Here, Ever has been producing coffee for 12 years now, but it hasn’t always been a smooth ride.

As a younger man, Ever couldn’t continue his university studies due to expense, so he decided to move to the coast of Peru to look for more work and a better income. During his three-year-long search, an idea began to form: why not go back to his family’s roots and start producing coffee?

These days, Ever feels proud of what he has been able to achieve: a coffee that is absolutely outstanding in its processing, production, taste and impact. Always striving to evolve, his current ventures include improving drying stations, planting more varied varieties of crop, and planting native trees for shade.

As a parting communication, Ever has this message for those who choose to enjoy his product: “Keep buying my coffee and valuing my effort. Also, visit my farm and be sure we will keep improving”.
