PRICING EXPLAINED

*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.

^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.

ABOUT

This stunning coffee is produced by the family Cortez in several of their farms around Cajamarca. With stunning scenery punctuated by pine and guama trees, the landscape offers a unique context for the development of this coffee’s flavour.

The Cortez Family Farms are located on highlands that start at 1900 MASL and go all the way up to 2000 MASL - super-high! During harvest, the Cortez family can hire up to 80 pickers from the area providing work and stability to the región and their operation.
