Matt Hampton is co-founder and Director of Operations and Green Coffee Buying at Rumble Coffee Roasters, sourcing coffee directly from producers and managing the day-to-day of the roastery.
Before coffee, Matt spent 15 years as a chef, working in kitchens from Wellington, New Zealand to Melbourne to London and back again. He moved into coffee as General Manager at the Social Roasting Company, where he first learned to roast.
In 2014, Matt and long-time friend Joe Molloy co-founded Rumble Coffee Roasters in the backstreets of Kensington. Matt served as Head Roaster for years before moving into Operations and green coffee buying, where his focus now is direct sourcing relationships and ensuring the quality of every bean that comes through the roastery.
