Peru Elias Sanchez
Balanced, clean and deliciously sweet fruits with a creamy mouthfeel.
ABOUT THE GROWER - ELIAS SANCHEZ
In the northern region of Cajamarca, in San Ignacio, Elias Sanchez and his wife, Rosalina Saavedra run Finca Cedro Quemado alongside their sons. With over 20 years in coffee, Elias began with traditional, volume-focused farming before shifting his focus toward quality. Supported by technical guidance and a growing understanding of best practice, he has transformed his approach across every stage of production. Today, coffee is a family effort, grounded in care, consistency and a deep respect for the land.
ABOUT THE COFFEE
Grown at 1800 MASL, this washed Bourbon reflects Elias’ commitment to clarity and sweetness in the cup. Careful cherry selection and improved processing techniques have elevated quality year on year, resulting in a clean and balanced profile. This is our first year working with Elias through Caravela, and this small 160kg lot marks an exciting beginning. With plans to plant new varieties and further refine drying infrastructure, Elias continues to build a thoughtful and progressive future for his farm.

PRICING EXPLAINED
*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.
^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.
