One of the best ways you can get perfect extraction from your coffee, is by keeping your coffee grinder in the best condition possible- and the easiest way to do that, is by regularly cleaning it. Here we run through how to clean a Mahlkonig E80 Grinder step-by-step to ensure your grinder can keep up with the highest demands of running a successful cafe, whilst providing your customers with the superior taste experience that the Mahlkonig E80 provides.
YOU WILL NEED:
- grinder clean
- flat head screwdriver
- damp cloth
- paper towel
- vacuum cleaner
- brush
1. Start by closing the hopper, and grinding out any coffee beans remaining in the burrs.
2. Run some Grinder Clean through grinder burrs.
3. Turn grinder off.
4. Unscrew and remove hopper, and transfer coffee to a bag.
5. Unscrew top plate, click to open position, remove and set aside.
6. Vacuum internal plate, dust, and vacuum once more to remove any residual coffee.
7. Clean de-clumper with damp cloth. Ensure you dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
7. Return top plate to position, lock, and screw into place.
8. Remove grinder spout, clean with damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
9. Reinstall hopper, turn on, and enjoy your clean grinder
