Produced by the Vides Family at Finca Bromelias, this coffee comes from a small 6-hectare farm nestled high in the mountains of Huehuetenango. Despite its modest size, Bromelias is home to an impressive collection of varietals and experimental processing methods, reflecting the family’s ongoing pursuit of quality and innovation. This washed anaerobic lot is a vibrant expression of both the farm’s unique terroir and the Vides family's meticulous approach.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThe Vides family has been producing exceptional coffee in Huehuetenango since 1958, when Dr Jorge Vides established the first family farm, Finca La Bolsa. Today, they oversee multiple farms and manage every stage of production, from cultivation through to export. Their commitment to quality was recognised early with a second-place finish in the Cup of Excellence, helping cement their reputation as leaders in Guatemalan specialty coffee. Alongside their coffee production, the family continues to invest heavily in sustainability, education and local community development.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBack in 2002, and with little knowledge of just how good their coffee was, general manager Maria Vides and her son Renardo Ovalle decided to submit their coffee to the prestigious Cup of Excellence competition. They did incredibly well, placing second. This international vote of confidence kicked the Vides family into action. They now own multiple coffee farms, all of which produce the same, beautiful quality of coffee for which they are widely known.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith a staunch commitment to sustainability, the Vides family integrates environmentally friendly practices and supports local communities by building schools and sharing their rich agronomy knowledge.
