notes Luis Anibal has been working on processing Natural and honey coffees over the last three years. The first 2 years he was under the watchful eye of our friend Felipe Arcila, this year he has gone solo and the results are amazing. Because of the high altitude of Villa Betulia, ripening, fermenting and drying take a long time. They must place the natural coffee in a single layer to make sure they don’t get mouldy or over fermented. This micro-lot is 100% Caturra, a natural mutation of the Red Bourbon varietal. Caturra originated in Brazil. Luis received $8.89 AUD per kilo for his green coffee, the daily rate at the time was $1.95.
